Friday, June 24th

Here are some new pictures of Mason. He is now 4 pounds and 11 ounces. He is still bottle feeding twice a day and drinking about half of the bottle on his own and the other half goes through the feeding tube. He is still having his bradicardias. This is completely normal for a preemie. Dr. Lipman said maybe another two weeks and he can come home. I hope!

Sunday, June 19th

Mason is 4 pounds 3 ounces. His face is filling out so much, he almost looks like a different baby! He will be 34 weeks this Tuesday, so I am hoping that he will overcome the heart bradys that he has been having.  He has had a lot fewer than before, so that is an answer to prayer. He also is doing better on his bottle feeding. The other night he drank 22cc from the bottle! Well please keep the prayers coming!

Wednesday, June 15th

Went to see Mason last night. I took his aunt Sonja with me. She hadn't got to see him yet. Well we walk in, and I walk into the wrong room. I didn't know until I got all the way to the crib and saw the baby, and I was like, "Uh....this isn't my baby...." then I started laughing, because I realized what I did. The nurse was like, "you didn't look like that baby's mom" ANYWAY! I found baby Mason, and he was out of the incubator, in an open crib! He was holding his own temperature, and doing awesome! He weighs 3 pounds 12 ounces. So the goal now is feeding! He has to do three things before he can go home. 1. weigh 4 pounds, (we are almost there, probably by the end of the week) 2. He has to maintain his own body temperature, (which he is) and 3. he has to be completely bottle fed, ( we are working on that one) I am amazed at how well he is doing! Keep up the prayers and support, and thank you!

Sunday, June 12th

Mason is 3 pounds 9 ounces today. I fed him his "one" bottle feed that he gets and he ate 12 cc out of 32. It doesn't sound like much but he is making improvements every day. He is such a strong little boy. All the nurses always comment on how handsome he is! :) I am so proud of my little man. I am so blessed!

Mason is so freakin cute.....I can not wait to get him home. I spent most of the day with him today and plan on doing the same tomorrow. I can not help but see how blessed I am to have been given such a healthy baby boy. He is doing awesome. Thank you for the prayers, and please keep them coming!

Monday, June 6th

Today Mason met his biggest sister, Mya. She wouldn't leave the poor baby alone. It was really cute. Mason took his first bottle today. Right now he eats 29 ML and he ate 9 ML from the bottle, with no problem, might I add! No drops in heart rate, or oxygen. I am so proud of my little man! He ate what he could then he fell asleep. Dr. Lipman said that he can try a bottle everyday, until he gets the hang of it. I appreciate all the prayers. He is doing awesome!

BTW....I am going back to work, June 14th...... I am excited to go back and maybe have an adult conversation or two.....lol

Sunday, June 5th

Sorry it has been a while since I posted. I have been with Mason everyday since he was born, and yet I feel like it is not enough. I know that I have to stretch myself between home and hospital, it just is getting to be a lot. I hope he comes home soon.....I was able to nurse Mason yesterday, and today. He did better today, but he still hasn't figured it out yet. They are going to start bottle feeding him tomorrow one feeding a day. I hope he does well. I think he will because he loves his pacifier. His weight is 3 pounds 2.5 ounces. So he is gaining everyday. Our goal to get him home is 4 pounds. Thank you everyone for your prayers and please continue to pray for Mason.

Wednesday, June 1st

I am with baby Mason today. He is doing great. He had a minor "freak-mommy-out" incident. He spit up all over himself in the incubator, out the nose, out the mouth, EVERYWHERE....then he started choking, whatever....I know it is normal but still.... Anyway, the other baby girl that I asked you to pray for is doing good. Of course all my info is "second-hang-ease-dropping" but I can't help it, she is right next to us! Anyway, the best news of the day is Dr. Lipman said that he sees Mason being able to come home is at least 4 weeks. They are going to try to bottle feed him this coming Tuesday. Pray that he does well, and no reflux!
